2025-02-16	I Am Trying To Break Your Heart	Eggy	WOW Hall	Eugene	OR	Sustain and stretch at 7 min. Chunky guitar riffage at 9 min balanced by Rhodes tones. Muscular Alex play and a purposeful Mike melody underneath, e.g. 12 minutes. Steady chunky guitar tones continue until Jake toggles back to the IATTBYH melody after 13 minutes, but it's followed by peaky, searing play for a couple minutes until they bring it home.

Energy infusion at 12 min. Angular piano and guitar play feels creative. Fluid-yet-measured, and rising, at 13 min. Emotive guitar lines at 14 min with full band support. This sounds like someone else on guitar that I can't quite place. Still slowly soaring 15-16 min. Repeating pattern at 17 min to find Boom or Bust.

Dani adds synths as a four-on-the-floor hi-hat dance party blossoms after 12 min. Chase Bliss Mood emerges by 17 min. Drops off at 21 min. Surges back with a hard-rock guitar anthem. Takes a back road to the chorus late.

Ethereal with twang and subtle lovely bass at 10-11 min is Grateful Dead-esque. Explores and hits on the Wireless intro lick before 12 min, to impressive effect.

Jake lyrical play until 6 min, then rhythmic, staccato vibes turn delicate and beautiful through 7 min as Alex and Mike fall out and guitar and keys quietly mingle for a moment. Finding and Losing riff emerges around 8 min.

Band creates space for ethereal guitar bends, e.g. 8 min, and then piano-backed exploration. Full band momentum emerges at 11 min, initiating a brief four-way kinetic conversation. Synthy slow down at 13 min with Tru-Tron over a slow, warbly groove before Jake moves to Midnight Moonlight.

Jake briefly toggles to whistling Northern Lights effect by 9 min. Guitar interplay incorporated into the peaky groove and Mike's contributions, e.g. 10 min, have an impact. Pivots to a synthy dance groove by 11 min. Thins out from 12-13 min for guitar interplay and thick Mike accents, which balances the bright dance groove that quickly resurfaces. Jake conjures Trixieville lick at 16 min and points us home.

Strongly anchored by Mike, e.g. 8 min, and grows peaky with sheets of sounds from 10-12 min. Chaotically tips over to a peak around 13-14 min before vocal return at 15 min.

Cam Herdt story starts at 13 min about Sean and a gummy-fueled walk in Alameda that turns into a soaring adventure. Great Dani effects, and vocals, paint the scene. Whole band instrumentation accentuates the story quite nicely.
2025-02-21	Yuck!	Eggy	Felton Music Hall	Felton	CA	Superb composition does its thing, then takes off into groove, peaks, and drum-centric, stanky, higher peaks. Veers off-course with Alex-driven exploration after 13-14 min. Funky Clav guitar groove at 15-16 min, with a Shallow Rivers tease from Jake. Full band collaboration with peaky guitar at 18 min. Trill and quiet at 19 min. Jake and Dani build off Alex's rolling drums at 20 min. Star Wars Theme-adjacent at 21 min. Pivot at 22 min is organ and piano filled with stanky guitar, and gets peaky again.

Then chill and delicate 7-8 min before some from-scratch, patient momentum via Alex and Jake and Dani organ that’s charging away by 9 min. Some circular, open playing by Jake yields prolonged high energy and twang, e.g. 10-14 min, with firm Alex and rooted Mike play holding it down. Relents after 15 min.
